Larry Cremeens, Artist

As a member of the Oil Painters of America, voted “Favorite Artist” by the Sonoran Arts League “Peoples Choice” award, selected as “Best and Brightest” from the Scottsdale Artist School, and voted Best Oil Painter by the attendees of the Sonoran Festival of the Arts, I have become an accomplished and popular working artist.  I use Native American models in authentic historical regalia to pose for paintings at the Little Big Horn River in Montana. I was one of the 50 artists selected to participate in the Artist Ride held at the Shearer Ranch in South Dakota.  Art collectors nationwide have purchased my paintings and others have commissioned special paintings for their private collections. Previously represented by Galleries in Scottsdale, AZ and Kerrville, TX.

Living the Dream

Some kids wanted to be cowboys or firemen – but I always wanted to be an artist.  Now the Dream is real!! I live and paint in the West creating the spirit of the American West with paintings of cowboys, Native Americans, horses and cattle.  Art transforms and enriches people’s lives.  I want to share with the viewer through my paintings, the beauty and power of the American West.

I am an artist who as a small child, growing up in Northwest Indiana, dreamed and drew pictures of the Southwest.

I could only imagine what the Southwest looked like, because my reality was steel mills, refineries, flat land and gray skies.
